Sumy region has always undergone intense hostilities, but now finds itself on the border. This is one of the most difficult areas of the Ukrainian front with fierce battles. Currently, new units of the occupier are entering the Sumy region.
It is unclear whether this is a rotation or an offensive. The photos show that part of the military has left Ukraine, so it may be a rotation of units, which again does not preclude an offensive in the future with renewed personnel.
The Russian military has shrunk
The decrease in numbers is due to hostilities, the army is not so much. Untrained servicemen often find themselves in a meat grinder with a "load of 200".
There is also a movement, as in one area they go to the territory of Russia, and come from Belarus. However, it is worth waiting for the onset, as it is being prepared.
