Units of the Russian occupiers are trying to break through the front line and transport equipment across the Irpin River to Kyiv. This was announced on March 21, 2022 by Oleksandr Pavliuk, head of the military Kyiv regional administration. As of March 21, the Russians were already trying to force Irpin in several places. The Armed Forces are recording the movement of columns along the entire front line, but these initiatives have so far been unsuccessful.
Due to the demolition of the dam, Irpin became a literal fortification that protects Kyiv.
Russian armed forces strike at settlements
Unable to break through the front line, Russian troops systematically shell settlements in the Kyiv region, causing serious damage to housing and communal infrastructure.
After the dam was blown up through Irpin, water flooded the suburbs and villages.
Increased curfew
Due to the enemy's attempts to break through the front line and launch a full-scale offensive against Kyiv in the Kyiv region, intensive work of sabotage and reconnaissance groups is expected. To protect the population and quickly eliminate saboteurs at night, the authorities imposed an intensified curfew in the coming days - from 20.00 on March 21 to 7 am on March 23.
The General Staff warns that the Brovary direction will be dangerous in the coming days due to the enemy's attempts to break through the defenses and resume the attack on Kyiv.
